Ghazal Poem: More than the stars

She looks up into the night sky and sees no more than the stars,
Her contemplation and thoughts were more than the stars.

His voice encompassed her mind with cherished memories,
The cherished memories were precious, even more than the stars.

She consciously sensed his presence in her room,
She missed him more than the stars.

Her heart was like a glass shattering into pieces,
She wanted to snatch those memories back, even more than the stars.

Remembering what he said to her stabbed her painfully into her chest,
She would want to efface those lies more than the stars.

She felt foolish for believing all those lies,
That pursued her to think he was so much more than the stars.

Her grief consumed her,
Her lamentation was more than the stars.

The thoughts of him were inscribed into her mind,
She wanted him back more than the stars.

Tears started trickling down her cheeks,
Her tears were even more than the stars.

She realized he would always remain in her heart,
This is how much she loved him, more than the stars.

Haiku

Snow:
Frosted on the pave,
The chill that goes through my fingers,
Glittering always.

Bird’s nest:
Piled together,
Sticks and leaves that encircles,
Keeps the bird warmly tight.

Leaves:
Swirling around me,
Paves beautifully colored,
Are leaves that surround.

School:
Friends are around me,
With mounds of paper to do,
which is called homework.

Basketball:
The sound of bouncing,
the spark of vitality,
as I spring to aim.

Elegy to Mr. Pash

Goodbye to my music teacher,
My teacher who taught great music,
And composed with delicacy.
May you forever be in my heart,
Your honored composing will forever remain.

Your composed music was imposing,
Full of sound that were rich and bold.
Your smile that encouraged us all!
Your teachings that helped us all!
Your presence is still with us.

Your great teachings we have lost,
Also the music that will never be taught.
It was like a candle blown by the wind,
But you will always be reminisced,
As an important figure and music teacher.

Ode to God

Standing patiently by me, (a)
Always beside me never leaving. (b)
With his image like we, (a)
and powers that are disbelieving. (b)

I ponder around with my thought, (c)
I ask myself "Is there really God?" (d)
I meditate on the bible stories I've been taught. (c)
His love for us is sufficient than we ever want. (c)

Our naked eyes cannot perceive Him, (e)
We should constantly have faith, (f)
even though we have times when we are at the brim, (e)
He will be always awaiting for us at heaven's gate. (f)

To The One I Love

Walking beside me on the white, pure snow.
The snow resembling the pureness and start.
Memories with you I never let go,
Like a puzzle piece that fits to my heart.

Your words are warm at heart like a blanket,
That ensconced me with warmth and makes me beam.
Your hugs that embrace me like a jacket,
And your friendly smile that gleams.

My affection are sincere and at whole,
Imprinted at heart and can't be altered.
Love ends with a heart with a leaking hole.
May it be true love we encounter.

No error that I love you from all above.
This poem is to you, to the one I love.

Ballad Poem about Relationships

President Hu goes to the White House, (a)
For a news conference. (b)
An aura of a fresh new start is shown, (a)
Displaying a friendly character. (c)

He shows concern for America.
Relations with China,
should be constructive and stable,
Declared the troubled President Hu.

He shows concern over North Korea,
Supporting America,
With their efforts to suppress,
Kim-Jong-Il’s nuclear weapon program.

The world’s two economic giants,
opened up a new chapter.
Are their relations progressing?
Though this relation may be momentary.
